摘要
The rational utilization of purge gas from C1 chemistry can avoid waste of C and H elements during the process. Combined steam and CO2 reforming provides an eco-friendly and economically way to convert light alkanes into syngas, but related research is far from adequate. Herein, a series of NiZn-based catalysts with different oxide dopants were prepared aiming to improve the activation of light alkanes and the performance stability. Among the oxide dopants, the introduction of MgO can effectively improve the porous structure, metal-support interaction and CO2 adsorption of the initial NiZn catalyst. The combination of XPS, CH4-TPSR and TGA revealed that MgO brought more active adsorbed oxygen and better oxygen mobility, resulting in stronger CH4 cracking and lower carbon accumulation rate. Therefore, NiZnMg exhibited the optimal and stable H2 and CO yields during the 100-h reforming of mixed alkanes, which provides a potential solution to enhance carbon efficiency in C1 chemistry.
